Is nationwide inventory worth the risk?
« on: March 26, 2026, 12:18:00 AM »

I’m looking for a rare vintage bike online since local shops have nothing. Is it crazy to buy sight-unseen if the seller provides a history report and video? How do you guys vet long-distance deals?

Buying a rare vintage bike sight-unseen is definitely risky, but it’s often the only way to find those unique gems. I’ve done it before, and the key is to demand a cold-start video and high-resolution photos of the frame and engine numbers. To stay safe, I usually stick to the best online motorcycle platforms because they often have better buyer protection and verified seller ratings. Always use an escrow service for payment and factor in the cost of a professional inspection if the bike is pricey. It’s not crazy if you do your homework, but never skip the history report to check for hidden titles or liens.
