New Dinosaur Jr on the way and video from Taste of Randolph Festival

Dinosaur Jr played the Taste of Randolph in Chicago this weekend and Otis Bperiod was kind enough to give us more behind the scenes shots along the way. Among those shots was a mention of J playing a NEW Dino tune! This is very promising 🙂

Here’s Lou Barlow’s live Oven! A whopping 500 watts 16 speakers! 8/12 inchers 8/10 inchers 2 100 watt Marshall JCM 900s 1 for each 4/12 Marshall cab. 1 300 watt Ampeg SVT head 1 SVT 8/10 cab. All cooking at all times! And it’s loud!!! Black Rickenbacker 4001 model. Lou’s bass sound is unique and very distorted and a large chunk of the way Dinosaur Jr. Sounds.   J’s No.1 1963 Fender Jazzmaster his go to live rocker. The black pickup covers J put on, the knobs with purple jewels also a Mascis little Twist. The action is set high as he prefers it.
