JebusParticipantI’m headed out later today for the trip from Tulsa to Dallas for tomorrow’s show. I’m absolutely pumped. I’ve been a fan of J. since "Green Mind" (and you punks that continue to poo-poo that album can continue to kiss my can) and i’ve never seen him live. I’ve packed two packs of ear plugs. Got my copy of "More Light," and everything else. Pincher’s packed. Sorry for the pointless, assinine message, i’m just giddy.
WHOOHOO!!!!
**Disclaimer: I was just clownin’ about the can kissing comment…."Green Mind" is one of my favorite two albums of all time (with Uncle Tupelo’s "Anodyne" being the other), therefore, i’m a little protective of it. That’s all.
Did I mention WHOOHOO!!!!????

JebusParticipantWell, i’m back and my head has finally stopped ringing. The Dallas show was absolutely great. It was so LOUD, yet the sound was very good. I kept no set list, instead, I just soaked it all up, including watching the young, dreadlocked nubiles next to me "dancing." It was ultra cute. There was maybe 150 people there, which was highly embarrasing, but J and Co. played like they were in Madison Square Garden…provided they’d play there. Best rock show i’ve seen in a long, long time.
P.S. Anybody remember the name of the opening act….I’ve completely forgot, but I thought they were pretty groovy.

JebusParticipantWhy yes….that’s it. I thought they were pretty cool…though I think they were getting some flack from a couple of yahoos in the the crowd. Mike Watt joined them for the last number which rocked the house.
I still can’t believe the crowd was so freakin’ lame.
