Dinosaur JrParticipantDinosaur Jr happily invites fans to create audio tapes of their live performances as long as the venue allows for this. We are asking that fans please refrain from shooting video of these reunion performances as we are preparing a special DVD which will include footage from this tour.
Thanks for understanding.

AnnastefkaParticipantyeah, well please try to include some shots of the crew, the crowd, and J’s butt and sneakers, oh and I hope you have a close-up shot of that broken D string in action, because the life of a rock star comes with all sorts of enticing perks but I don’t think most people are aware of the dangers.

FlyingCloudParticipantthe band’s videotapers did a lot of crowd shots in London, I agree I hope to see a lot of these on the DVD, all the enthusiasm & movement

stannerParticipantso it looks like this is a management related thread, maybe i can ask:
is this here dvd we are anxiouslee awaitin the alltime great DINOSAUR DVD w/ stuff from thru the years since the 80s.. or is the planned dvd just the reunion shows?
s
(either is fine for me-i’ll buy a bunch-just hoping all that old live video sees the light of day in dvd format sometime)July 12, 2005 at 6:47 am #110846
squeaplerParticipanti hope this dvd comes out well because i was a little disturbed to see the fans all pushed back from the stage last night in DC so the filming dude could prance around and get closeups

FlyingCloudParticipantawww, sorry to hear that.
in London there was a gap between crowd and stage, where the tapers were recording, but in Berlin we stood right in front of the stage. and in Berlin, the videotapers were acting very decent, almost all the time only on stage, no pushing people around.I think for shots out of the crowd they should wait until they are in venues with a reeling in front of the stage.

King TubbyParticipantIt would be totally sweet if the first, say, 1000 copies of the dvd would come with a bonus cd of a complete live show. Motorhead did that with their 25th anniversary dvd, so Dino would be following an illustrious precedent. Plus, I really need to get a professionally recorded version of "Tarpit" the way they’ve been playing it. It’s outta hand.

i’d hate to miss out on that because i was slow on the draw or not logged on the day they go on sale.

DurlyParticipantDoes anyone know a possible release date for this? Hopefully before October so Mrs Durly can buy it for my birthday.
Wonder if they’ll record the YLAOM show at Koko in August.
Agree, one disc with old and new stuff and another disc with an entire show from the current tour would be excellent.July 21, 2005 at 10:04 am #110855
