Upcoming J coverage on NewMusic!

The NewMusic (a show on MuchMusic here in Canada) is going to have some stuff on J on Monday, July 30. That’s the date that it will air on MuchMusic anyway.

I would have to pay over $80 a month to get the cable package that includes MuchMusic. You cannot buy it seperately on my cable service. And they always have such great bands on. [img]images/smiles/converted/mad.gif[/img]

I live in a facist regime where the only way I can get @home cable modem service is by getting their cable TV service as well. Thanks alot Comcast…

I`ve had MuchMusic for 15 years and believe me it`s not as cool as you think.Sure,there is sometimes good stuff but most of the time it`s not worth watching;unless you like s club 7,brittney,n sync,backstreet boys or see blink 182 10 times a day.
When I was at my Grandparents a few years ago;they have a satellite dish and had MTV2.
On a sat. afternoon I saw videos by Shudder To Think,Stereolab,Wesley Willis,Unsane,etc.
in the evening I saw videos by Belly,My Bloody Valentine,Meat Puppets,Mercury Rev,etc. on a saturday on Much Music you would never see these artists except maybe late night.
Now i`m sure you think MTV2 is lame and I`m sure they play some lame videos too but from this canadian`s view-Much Music is not cool.
I did see the Frank Black interview a few weeks ago,that was cool,but overall,not cool.

Don’t know what version of MTV2 you get over there in the states, over here it seems to ne wall to wall blink 182, mixed with dire indie music from this side of pond

or maybe in just getting too cynical….

This is very true!! The only time you might see something good is on the New Music or the Wedge.
