Hi ever1, I’m Jimmy and I’m new around here.
I’m 16, from London (that’s in England <img> ) another victim of chronic Bone-Idleness when it comes to getting decent grades but fully enthusiastic when it comes to more important things <img>
I got into music properly about 5 or 6 years ago, with the obligatory first listen to Nevermind, etc, and started listening to loads of other people (too many to list here) where previously I’d always been more interested in my parents’ old vinyl collections from the ’60s and ’70s – my mum used to have a music column in a maagazine, so she got sent loads of free stuff by Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, Frank Zappa, Sex Pistols etc as well as loads of cool Jazz, Funk, Soul, Blues albums etc.
Since then I moved to a different school where I met Gideon (who you’ll have seen on the boards round here previously) who introduced me to Dinosaur Jr recently and made me a CD with various stuff off of their early albums… thought it was kinda good so I thought I’d check this place out.
I’m another guitar playing, substance abusing bum who’ll have no problem wasting tons of space around here but don’t judge me too harsh :E
