Unfortunately I will be unable to attend the show at Dingwalls on Thursday 21st (hospital appointment), so that means my ticket is now looking for a new home.

Ill sell it for Face value (£12.50). Just be glad that someone will have the opportunity to attend in my place as I believe it’s already sold out.

If your interested just send me a private message.

rambleon – I would love to go, but I’ve got a Family dinner thing I’m supposed to be attending. As i was the last one to find out about it, I had already ordered my ticket for the Mean Fiddler – double bummer.

I’m relying on these boards for full reviews of the shows !

    Ouch x 2

That’s’ gotta hurt, guess the credit card for the whole family would be a bit much as a bribe to miss that family dinner

Hope we get some cool reviews for you… :D

    Hi Allison,

no !! you don’t owe my any money … i was just wondering … we were in the front row too right next to the girl w/long red hair (she was there last night too)

and i know what you mean about brighton … we went last year and it was like £85 for a hotel room, plus we had to pay for the bus to get down there and back and the tix and food money … it all adds up ! :)

we really wanted to go again to the brighton show (tonight!!), but we have enough on our credit card already (had to pay for an operation privately b/c the nhs would have taken too long !!! … )

anyhow … we’re looking forward to seeing the stooges tribute thing in a few weeks’ time… and j did say last night, just as he was leaving the stage that he hopes we can all make it there

yeh,its pretty weird.but not that weird considering most ppl on here are die hard fans, and a lot of freaksceners r around london. the liverpool show was cool, but there werent many ppl there and quite a few of them continued to talk throughout both sets.wankers.but the guys at the back who shouted the !!"NO"!! parts in just like heaven were great. we spoke to chris brokaw after the show again and bought CDs (we met him at the train station, and neither of us knew where the venue was so we shared a cab.hes a v.nice guy) i also got a jmascis pick! so,im a happy bunny

maybe i should have edited this a bit more b/c it seems a bit lengthy, but this is my review of the dingwalls show

    *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

my husband and i got there just before 7 … we had stormed over there from our house via 2 buses and some v.fast walking … we were hoping to get there before the doors opened to get a good spot right nr the stage, so we were in a serious rush… but when we got there we found out the doors weren’t scheduled to open until 7.30 (even though the tix said 7), so the security guys (one of whom seemed v.v.stoned !) suggested we all wait in the bar upstairs

i was 1/2 expecting to see j sitting up there, but he wasn’t — or at least i didn’t see him

they finally let us in at about 7.45 … thankfully the security was pretty lax about letting in cameras and also they let us sit on the stage too …

chris brokaw was 1st up at 8.30 … i really liked his instrumental songs and later i read that he’s just brought out an album w/all instrumental music … it didn’t seem like there were that many people paying attention to him except the crowd right up front – and there was a lot of talking background noise … i felt sorry for him b/c it must have been v.distracting, but he did a great job and he thanked people for listening (maybe a sublte dig at those who weren’t?) …

j came on at 9.30 or so and started w/someone said + he was off – charging through the songs with little or no time between them … not to say that he didn’t play them w/feeling, but more like he was an unstoppable one-man hit factory. this was the 1st time he didn’t have a set list (that i’ve ever seen), but like infinate spark pointed out it was the same set as the liverpool show … so i guess he knew it by heart already …

near to the end of the show he asked for a request … kind of … well he said something like, “what should i play nextâ€

I hope he’ll finally get your present at the next gig, then :)
