simmonsParticipantIf you listen to take a run at the sun you hear a electronic instrument called a theremin . For those who don’t know what instrument I’m talking about,it’s that thing that makes the mellow sine wave tone, a vibrating sound.
I just love this sound and therefor I am on the look for one. does anyone know where I can buy a theremin on the net?January 26, 2002 at 1:31 pm #56930

buckingham rabbitParticipanthey simmons, try ebay for a place on the net. you can find most anything there. but if youre in norway, the shipping might be a bitch.

simmonsParticipantI have made a bid on a thermin on ebay.I checked out many stores in norway without any luck, but on ebay there are so many thermins at different prices and construction. My choice fell on a thermin with a lightsensor. it’s a tiny box, but I hope it can provide the sound I’m looking for.
By the way, some of the vintage fender jazzmasters are so damn cool. I’m considering buying one. In norway they are so hard to find and they often cost around 2500$. The shipping costs are , as Buckhingham Rabbit said, a bitch. Around 160$ if sending to Norway.
There’s a really nice 65′ lake placid coloured jazzmaster which is very tempting. ARound 1500$ and the deal closes tommorow. Maybe I’ll buy it on impulse and put my self in debt <img>January 28, 2002 at 10:05 am #56933
RobertParticipantsimmons, if the person selling you the theremin is a nice guy -try to get him to send it to you as a personal package, that way you don’t have to pay the 24% tax as it skips customs.

simmonsParticipantyeah, Robert.
and another thing that’s important is to ask the seller not to put a receit in, cause I’ve experienced that the people at the tolldeclaration office asked me to open the package in front of them to see if there’s a receit inside, eventhough this package was sent as gift. -
