rambleonParticipanti was just reading an email from the carling venues + i saw this :
Quote:With band members Lura Jones, Ayre Shine (of the Golden Bats) and Claudia Rossi (of Halo Friendlies) recently parting the Shocker to pursue their own musical destinies, former L7 bassist Jennifer Precious Finch has a new line-up and resultantly sounds better than ever. Of course the attitude and all the trimmings that go along with being in a post-punk rock band are still very much there, none more evident than in the characteristically sneering title of the band’s 2003 mini LP ‘Up Your Ass Tray’ which brings Finch’s music up a level from the L7 days of post-heavy grunge towards pure rock consciousness. The melodies are ripe with catchy riffs and sexy basslines, not to mention the colourful choice of lyrics on ‘My Life as a Plumber’ and ‘Bad Brain, Good Head’. With a band that name themselves after the explicit positioning of the fingers when entering a woman through both sexual orifices (Gentlemen take note), the performance itself is bound to be as shocking as their name implies. Support from Pointless Creation + The Kitchen.has anyone heard these guys or seen them live ?
L7 were such a great band … I saw them once @ the old 9.30 club in DC + they blew me away …

SGParticipantL7 were great
Jennifer Finch added alot to them,it was a shame when she left the band.L7 seemed to find a way to mix Motorhead and The Ramones thru the eyes of women which was cool.
