AGAPParticipantGreat article, thanks for posting it!!!
Fingers crossed they are unable to save their phoney baloney jobs Cheaper music is a cool goal as far as I’m concerned, as I am one of the dl’s who buy more cd’s after listening to stuff from ag etc. Why should we have to pay for their failed attempts to make stars, 2.2 million promo for somebody who sold 378 or so discs All for supporting the artists but just not the RIAA, 1/4 million dollar A&R guys etc

SGParticipantThanks for the link Buck
I agree with VF,downloading music helps you out on what cd`s to buy;our AG group helped alot of us on getting into alot of cool music that we would`nt have gotten into if we did`nt have music on the internet.June 9, 2002 at 9:03 pm #58418

I buy most of my cd’s through the net because:1. The price of cd’s here in Holland is ridiculous, by ordering through a German mailorder company I pay about 5 euro (4.5 US$) less per cd.
2. I’m interested in a lot off music that is nearly completely unavailable here: "…well, we can order that as an import, but then it will be about 30 euros (27 US$)….." , if I order it myself through some specialized US mailorder company I pay about 13 US$ for it…..
3. Through the net it is possible to get in touch with the people producing the music (the artists and small record companies)
4. Last but not least: through communities like this one, where a lot of different people who are interested in music talk about it, you pick up a lot of things, and check out all kinds of stuff……
