doomtownParticipantHard to believe she has never been identified. Especially since the book is so rare ($300.00 used) and her photo now sells for $1200.00!! Wonder how much or even if J had to pay to use it for the cover?
When I first read that she was unidentified, Sonic Youth "Sister" and TAD "8-Way Santa" come to mind.
Wouldn’t it be cool if we could find her? I guess she’d be around 40 now?Maybe Rambleon is right and it is just a good story!

doomtownParticipantTook this from the Sonic Youth site:
"Its original cover was immediately controversial — a bright, almost out of place photograph of a girl by Richard Avedon in the upper left corner was removed after Avedon threatened to sue. Initially they just placed black stickers over the jacket art, and blacked it out completely on subsequent pressings."
There was also an issue with the Disney picture. Check it all out here:

doomtownParticipantAn original Sister CD just sold on ebay for $3.50!! Of course I paid 10 times that.
It depends on if the seller knows it’s rare.
