K7 Rides AgainParticipantWhat’s happened to the mighty Man. U.? When we first got digital here 2 and 1/2 years ago they did nothing but dominate. Now they seem to just kind of struggle along. Beckem could put a ball on a dime, and Keen was a force to be reckoned with. Even the great Bartez seems to have lost some of his edge. Watching them play Liverpool right now and they just look really flat. Any Man. U. fans here? What gives? Is it the new line-up? Maybe they all just haven’t gelled yet…
Oh yeah, If you’d like to talk about any of the other teams…feel free. We try to watch whatever we can get over here

JavroModeratorHi Kurt
Man U. Damn. They are still top of the premiership, but finding things tough. The problems have been selling Stam to Lazio, and buying Laurent Blanc, a once great world and European cup winning centre back who is now well past his prime. Everyone in the UK hates Man U – the majority of their fans are from Singapore and such, due to the marketing phenomenon that is Beckham. They are good to watch, and I will support them if they are playing in Europe (especially against Bayern – cue vicious response from our German members), but you are right, they ain’t nothing special this year. We even went to the once impenetrable Old Trafford and have won twice in the last year (mighty mighty West Ham! "Oh east London, is wonderful, Oh east London is wonderful, it’s full of tits, fanny and West Ham, oh east London is wonderful"), and the win a few weeks ago was our first in the league since 1985!
Shame you lot didn’t qualify for the World Cup this year. You’ll certainly have to be supporting good old blighty! Here is my team for the World Cup for England. David James in goal (West Ham), Ferdinand (Leeds, ex West Ham), Ashley Cole (Arsenal), Phil Neville (ManUre), Carragher (Liverpool) defence – Beckham (ManU), Scholes (Man U), Gerard (liverpool), Joe Cole (West Ham) midfield, Owen (Liverpool), Fowler (Leeds).
Who was the US grungey, guitar playing goinger bearded player you had when you hosted the World Cup? He was cool. Not too many US players over here anymore, Kasey Keller, Claudio Reyna plays in Scotland, but gone are the likes of Roy Wegerle.
Sorry to anyone who has no idea what I am talking about, but I see this as revenge at the constant Bears posts (you know who I mean Allison). Bears?? Who are ya?
Later on.

yeah Union Jack’s a fuckin’ fag!!!
Who was the US grungey, guitar playing goinger bearded player you had when you hosted the World Cup? He was cool.
Alexi Lalas, all hair-minimal game…
Just yanking yer crank Like the lineup! Scholes and Beckham are a sweet combo. Definately like Owens up front. Not so sure about Fowler. He’s good, but there’s just something about him I don’t like.

WHO???
Joe Max Moore plays over there somewhere too.
Went to the US vs. Mexico Qualifier…had to sit in the row right in front of a 20 (30?) foot Mexican flag.
Americans-8
Mexicans-too many to count, all around us, but they were cool about it Mostly we get EPL over here. Now and then we get some German, French, or South American, but mostly EPL…usually Man. U., Liverpool, Tottenham, or Bayern Munich
"There’s only one (keeper’s name-we’ll use Bartez)-there’s only one Bartez-with his bucket of treats-and his cheeky smile-Bartez is a FUCKIN’ PEDOPHILE"

K7 Rides AgainParticipantWatched the MAN U. of old tear it up yesterday. Van Nisterooy…Can’t believe he’s so good…I still am not impressed…at least in the games I’ve seen…maybe he’s just having a few off games.
How long has MAN U. been dominating? Is it a legacy or is it just in more recent times? We’ve only been getting EPL the last 2-3 years so I have no real knowledge of it’s history.
How goes EPL typically? Is there a lot of turmoil and unrest for the lead, or have certain teams usually dominated? Is there a lot of turnover for number one…or do teams typically rise and hold the top spot for a while and then fall as another team takes over for a while?
Here in the US, you never know. It’s so young and undeveloped that every year, any team has a shot. You never know who will take it next year. Saw Columbus play Newcastle-we were schooled pretty bad. Love drinking Newkie, but now I have to hate the team. In the near future, U.S. teams will be a force to reckon with worldwide!!!
