    Hello

    Is there any knowledge on pickups out there?
    I own a Japanese 50s reissue Tele and I’m thinking of changing the pickups. Although I like the sound already I’d like something with a slightly higher output and sustain especially for overdrive sounds and driving pedals. I don’t want to lose any of the classic twangy and trebly sound or make it sound heavy metal! Would American Fender Vintage pickups make much difference ? Or what about Texas specials or Seymour Duncan Hots? Any help or advice much appreciated.

    I don’t know anything about tele pick-ups.
    Did you try the fenderforum.com site already? They gave me great advice on my jazzmaster pick-ups! They have a forum for each Fender guitar…

    try rio grande pickups. the sound great and are handmade.
