irishwhipParticipantThe last time I went to a concert of J Mascis and The Fog -in Eindhoven, the Netherlands- I bought a t-shirt (which they didn’t sell in Amsterdam 6 months ago).
I was standing first row, just to get the playlist at the end. I managed to get and I also got a plectrum. Unfortunately it’s very thick (1.14 mm!!), so I can’t play with it. My brother also got a plectrum and he got one drumstick from George. My question to you: what cool stuff did you ever get from a concert of J/Dino? And do you ever use it? SamwiseParticipantHey Pim, which playlist did you get??? At the Groningen show I got J’s playlist and one of his picks (1.14) and I play with it all the time (don’t think it’s to thick, and besides it’s got J magic in it right). Friend of mine also got a drumstick and his playlist.

everyonelovesjaronParticipantThey sold nothing at the show I went to but I pulled a couple of J. Mascis + the fog concert posters off the wall. I guess that’s something… not as cool as a setlist tho.

irishwhipParticipantHi Samwise (and the rest off course ),
I got the playlist of the Eindhoven gig. First I was standing in front of a little one, it was Mike’s. During the show everyone moved more to the right where J was standing, so I ended up at the big one (4 A4’s!). Is it so big because otherwise J can’t see it?
Before the show I saw him in the club (didn’t speak to him, because I was amazed that he was just walking there and off course I didn’t know what to say to him – sure, I knew it later, but that was too late!) and he was wearing his glasses (those were big, man). During the show he wasn’t, so or he was wearing contacts or he just couldn’t see anything.Well anyway, about the pick: I’m not very good with thick ones, I always play with .73mm or so. J’s one (although he didn’t actually played with it) I’ll just cherish.
My brother still got the drumstick but I’m working on it to get it some day, because he isn’t really a big fan.I also made some pictures with a very cheesy camera. No flashlight, it wasn’t allowed (and the camera didn’t have one). Hopefully some pictures turn out to be good. If I got something, I will place it somewhere at the internet.
Pim

stillchoppinParticipantLast time J was in Seattle I was one second away from grabbing the set list! Damn. BUT, I snagged one of those Bat picture promos off the wall of the Croc and had the band sign it. I felt stupid about that, but I wanted it for above my CD case, which is right where it hangs. I think i may have told this story before. I didn’t want to get autographs, it was more of a little buzzed-up dare from my girlfriend to see if I would approach J. He’s kind of intimidating, because he doesn’t day much, so it’s hard to tell what he’s thinking. Mike Watt was cool as shit – and sweaty!

daveParticipantManaged to get a used plectrum off the floor and one of Georges sticks, this was at the Nottingham show.
The next night in Sheffield me and a friend were chatting and j walked straight by us…
me being a pussy i talked my friend into asking for us to get a photo and an autograph, to which j agreed, although he looked a little hesitant, and i could’nt say one word except ”see ya”

BartmanParticipantGot George’s playlist from the Ghent show , december last year. Was a bit dissapointed, because they didn’t sell any shirts, stickers… at that show. Didn’t see any of the guys either
Would love to have one of those picks, aspecially since I also use the heavy ones (1.3mm) June 25, 2001 at 6:13 pm #62210
mcg21starParticipantI picked up a guitar string that J broke during the most recent Orlando show. Everybody else went for picks but I wanted the string as it definitely was used during the concert.

nickParticipantI’ve got two drumsticks—both from George.
I’ve got a pick—that I took off the mic stand.
I’ve got a sticker (where’d you go) that is now on my acustic.
I’ve got a Hand It Over flyer ornament.
Several concert ticket stubs.
I’ve got a live video I recorded from 4/14/2001.
I managed to purchase a T-shirt and More Light CD at the gig in Carborro NC 2000.That’s it for now… I plan to have a shrine dedicated to J Mascis/Dinosaur Jr. and other rock and rollers in my house one day.
Peace.

SludgeFeastParticipantAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Not a good topic for me based on my earlier ramblings……..
I did however get 3 souvenirs from London and Brighton – namely a gashed calf muscle, bruised skull and a dead leg.
Not quite the same admittedly ………
