    Ok….Here’s what you want…The setlist…Mostly in order..

    GARGOYLE
    POST
    KRACKED
    BULBS OF PASSION
    RAISANS
    IN A JAR
    FORGET THE SWAN
    TARPIT
    LUNG
    YEAH WE KNOW
    JUST LIKE HEAVEN
    FREAKSCENE
    SLUDGEFEAST
    SEVERED LIPS
    DOES IT FLOAT

I actually snagged the setlist, and it also says QUEST, LEPER and NO BONES, but I don’t remember these three being played. Until someone confirms that they did, I’m leaving them off. I’m almost positive they didn’t play them, though.

I’m really tired, so I don’t want to write now, but I’ll say that THE SHOW WAS AMAZING.

This is A REAL BAND. They played together beautifully. I haven’t seen J rock this hard in FOREVER. He was ATTACKING the guitar. Lou was DESTROYING the bass (he even broke his "A" string! On a bass, that’s TOUGH!). Murph was shirtless, bald, and sweating like a madman. He ROCKED.

At the end of the set, J was killing his guitar, bending down almost to his feet. The guitar slid off his back to the floor and he spent the end of DOES IT FLOAT kneeling down next to it and his pedalboard on the ground creating a blizzard of noise while Lou sang.

A brilliant show, and definitely the real deal. Though everyone knows they’re doing it for some cash, it’s obvious there’s a magic between those three dudes.

it will be great to hear more comments…and it would be awesome of course, if pics or some kind of recording would show up. :!:

    Mike,

Nice snag on the setlist! I wrote the songs down, and the list is accurate, only slightly out of order, as you said.

They played "In a Jar" after "Swan." "Yeah We Know" was before "Lung" and "Severed Lips" was before "Heaven."

One of the great shows of a lifetime, truly! It was so friggin’ hot in there I wasn’t sure if Murph was going to make it. He’s gonna need to get used to playing again, and maybe cut out the beer swillin". :)

Did you think it was odd that they started "Severed Lips" before Lou got his bass back together? I’m not sure if that was a little rude or not.

All in all a great show and J was very animated, like I have not seen him be in years. He totally attacked the guitar with great vigor.

In all the recent Fog shows, J never said a thing to the crowd. He thanked us several times, and even came out joking, "How did you guys like the Supreme Dicks?" (They were the opening act and they were BAD).

I saw the original lineup in Portland, OR when Bug came out, and although I will never forget that show, this one had a better spirit. They were at the end of their run then, and there was anxiety amongst them. They seem very into this.

    The songs were so great!

Everyone go see them while it lasts!

I want to see little fury things live. ANyway that set list is fucking wonderful. I think it is all the earlier stuff because i belive that are touring to support the re-release of their older albums.

i remember watt in his tour journal saying that j would play severed lips when watt broke a string, so i guess its just a thing j does… broken bass string=severed lips in the meantime haha.

That’s true. That’s exactly what happened. Lou was changing his string while they played that. He joined them in the middle.

Oh, for what it’s worth, I forgot to mention that we were standing beside Jack Black at the Spaceland show. Beats hanging out with Ben Affleck, I guess. I wonder if Allison Anders was there?

    last night @ Spaceland.

    What can I say?

The gig was LOUDER than LOUD. HOTTER than HOT.

Hats off to the fools who lit a joint during the encore (they eventually passed it up to Lou, but he declined because it wasn’t the GOOD stuff).

Meeting Jack Black outside was just as cool as the gig, too.
