RoosterParticipantI was wondering if anyone knows if they are planning a world tour or something to promote there upcoming album? I hope so cause they hardly ever come to the UK.

SONIC YOUTH SUMMER TOURING 2002
Hey All—we’re currently planning summer touring schedules to coincide with the release of the new album. Here’s what we know so far: From mid-June through mid-July SY will be in Europe, and for the month of August in North America. There may even be a Japanese date or two in there as well. More details here as they unfold…
If anyone gets a chance to see them they should definitely check them out. They are awesome live and I’m not really a huge Sonic Youth fan.

JavroModeratorThe Royal Festival Hall in London??!!
That’s a fairly big venue. I sang there as a child – Mahler’s Third Symphony if memory serves (bimm, bamm, bimm, bamm). Just over the Thames on the South Bank. Loads of skate ramps underneath. What a weird line-up – Jim O’Rourke, Kim Gordon and Olive? Should be great.
Any other Londoners fancy meeting up for a skinfull beforehand? Also, if any out-of-towners need anywhere to stay, let me know. I’m quite safe – haven’t murdered anyone at all this year.

buckingham rabbitParticipantThey are playing in San Diego at the Del Mar racetrack after the horse races are over. And it’s FREE! Well, you have to pay admission to the track, but that’s only 5 dollars (at a minimum)…but also doesn’t count how much you lose gambling.

Bucky RamoneParticipantlooks like a lot of fun
