AnnastefkaParticipantHey, I have always felt very secure living in Athens, Georgia. Early in the morning on Friday we were jolted out of our sleep with automatic gunfire behind our house. I woke my children and put them on the floor of our bedroom. I had no idea what was happening. I thought oh, my Gosh, someone has led someone else into the woods and killed them. We live in a somewhat remote area. Many police showed up and it was a long night. I did not sleep one wink. Our story is in the paper today, you can read about it

Man arrested; rifle seized after shots fired
Suspect had other warrantsBy Joe Johnson
[email protected]The sound of gunshots at the rear of an eastern Athens-Clarke County residence early Friday morning led to one arrest and the seizure of an assault rifle and more than two dozen rounds of ammunition, Athens-Clarke police said.
An Old Hull Road woman reported hearing shots behind her home at about 12:30 a.m., and her husband, while investigating the gunfire, followed a path to a nearby residence at 145 Sexton Place, where he saw a man place something in a pickup truck in the driveway before disappearing around the side of the house, according to police.
Officers arrived on the scene to find a 24-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman on the front porch of the house, both of whom denied living there and explaining the truck’s owner was in the hospital, police said.
A check of the truck’s registration showed it was owned by 29-year-old Octavio Parra Ramirez of the Sexton Place address, police said, and when officers insisted on knowing where Ramirez was, the pair on the porch "became increasingly uncooperative."
One of the officers wrote in a report he recognized Ramirez’s name, and "knew that (he) has a history of criminal activity and was currently under investigation for a series of recent shootings in the area."
A loaded rifle magazine was spotted in a child seat inside Ramirez’s truck, the officer wrote, and a dispatcher advised there were active warrants for Ramirez’s arrest on aggravated assault charges.
When one of the officers spotted an open side door, a decision was made to enter the residence to "clear and secure" it, police said, and Ramirez was found lying down in a bedroom and was taken into custody.
Police found a Norinco assault rifle, loaded with one live round, on the roof above the open window of the bedroom where Ramirez was found, next to a magazine containing 32 6.72 x 9 mm bullets.

AnnastefkaParticipantThats right, the moon was in Scorpio for both of those events. I never have parties when the moon is in Scorpio because people tend to drink a little more and get angry. Never get married when the moon is in Scorpio, could have a drunken fight at the reception between the father-in-law and the best man. Very Ugly.

Yes, there is good mexican food in Khanada, and yes, there are guns in Khanada but there are gun control laws thanks to citizens and organisations who faught to pass a bill in the House of Commons, especially after the Montreal Massacre, which happened fifteen years ago.
Imagine, on the day of memorial for the massacre, a man in Brampton, Ontario went to a High School parking lot and shot his wife, a teacher, in the head–stupid a**hole.December 14, 2004 at 1:10 pm #106606

AnnastefkaParticipantRICH you so rock, My first thought was " Whose wife did my husband sleep with? "
That Octavio wishes he had kept his gun in his pocket because he is still in the slammer, I hope for a long time.

No one was hurt, they claimed they were just having a good time,
I was in my bedroom and my husband was in the living room working and at first jolt I was worried he had been shot.( our living room is in the back of the house) ( see above post to Rich) I did not calm down or relax for about 24 hours,
