it would have to take place out in my backyard, as I would be requesting the Fog to play.
And if he could just play the entire Hand It Over CD, from begining to end that would be cool !July 27, 2004 at 10:37 am #103747
how about a residency, so he could play them all ? (how’s that for a libran answer annastefka ? )July 29, 2004 at 12:34 am #103748"rambleon" wrote:how about a residency, so he could play them all ?
I like that answer, I thought Wow, I would just let what ever happened happen.
I have to share something funny. Juan just bought a 300 disk Cd player. We were having issues as far as storage and this seems perfect for now. I have developed a fun technique of musicmancy.
That is put the whole thing on suffle and think of a question. Then you see how the song that comes up next answers it.
So of course I think, let J play and whatever comes out is always perfect.
I am going into the last trimester of pregnancy and I can feel a definite change in attitude. Dave Schools band played over the weekend (Stockholm Syndrome) with The Tom Collins opening. I know if I wasn’t pregnant I would have been downtown putting the Gemini verbal assult on Dave about J. 1. What is he like? What does he do in his spare time? Is he really SXE? but…..because I am due to give birth in 12 weeks my new Philosophy is, Who the fuck Cares about J Mascis, good gosh, get real!!!! This is always the way it is for me (and many women before giving birth) if it doesn’t have anything to do with me or my nest I just can’t relate. So weird the change in feelings, all related to hormones, I guess. A friend asked me if someone told you Mascis would be playing with Dave and his band downtown would you go. My answer was "NO" I am really sticking out, waddling around pregnant. You don’t go out and hang out in smoke filled bars until the wee hours of the morning listening to loud music. Oh, pregnancy and what it does to you, so strange.July 29, 2004 at 9:50 am #103749
good luck w/your last few months …
maybe when you’re feeling less hormonal, you’ll once again have the urge to ask all those questions … i know i’d love to hear the answersJuly 29, 2004 at 10:46 am #103750"rambleon" wrote:maybe when you’re feeling less hormonal, you’ll once again have the urge to ask all those questions
I know I will feel different once the baby gets here. I will be back to my old self again. I have now a very real nesting insticnt going on. Sewing blankets and PJ’s for the children for winter, I just did a babysitting trade for a dumptruck load of red oak for the wood stove. Painted the big bathroom and changed the molding up top.July 29, 2004 at 11:00 am #103751
that’s weird … i have never heard of that before, but it makes sense … animals do it, so why wouldn’t we ?
back to the original topic again : j could also do tribute nights like lard zep + AAMW … +/or have guest performers as well … like deep wound reunited for a 2nd time perhaps ? :aliensmile:July 29, 2004 at 1:05 pm #103752
Well, after hearing about Annastefkas dream, with all the dogs and two more women + J, I just got to agree with her husband that it would be fucking crazy.July 29, 2004 at 1:18 pm #103753
I thought I’d pick my favorite song from every album, except for Ear Bleeding Country.

Not You Again
Over Your Shoulder
Never Bought It
If Thats How Its Gotta Be
Everything Flows Medley
For an encore, I’d like to hear What Else is New, and anything else J felt like playing.July 31, 2004 at 11:01 am #103754
I based mine on stuff j has played with the fog in the past few years:
EveryBody Lets Me Down

Deep Wound, That stuff scared me, real bad.August 1, 2004 at 9:47 pm #103756
oh Deep Wound rules.
they would definitely get me evicted if they came and rocked out in my back yard.
—but it would be worth it i think.
