trensidohParticipantto me, that lou-murph line up fits perfectly with those classic bass-drums lineups of the 60´s/70´s/80´s like mitchell-redding(hendrix)
bruce-baker(cream) entwistle-moon (the who)
watt-hurley (you know who). just wanted to post this. June 15, 2001 at 12:36 pm #53259
nickParticipantI have to agree with you TOTALLY trensidoh on your selection of rhythm sections… lou and murph should be thrown into that group… I wish to add a rhythm section if you don’t mind… LESH and KRYSIEKMAN and HEART (The Greatful Dead).
If you can’t dig it, skip it.

AGAPParticipantHey,
The best rhythm section for J is….himself. I swear if only we could have some success with the cloning project, imagine a whole band made up of J’s…best drummer….not bad bass…back to the lab
Other pretty amazing rhythm sections….
Ron Asheton…once he got moved to bass and his brother Scott Rock Action on drums. Check out Raw Power…you will here the truth!!! Wicked bass solo in Head On as well…Ron is one talented guy…Rock ain’t half bad either…
Captain Sensible on bass and Rat Scabies on drums..check out the first Damned…Damned
Damned Damned…Neat Neat Neat….really Allison…Damned Disciple…at least for the four releases

SGParticipantYeah, the Lou-murph section was classic. Some other bands that have great bass/drums back up is Mcnew/Hubley(YLT),Mccombs/Bean(Eleventh dream day),Sally/Parker(Low);I totally agree with Burns/Convertino,they `ve played with a ton of people:Bill from Buffalo Tom,Richard Buckner,Victoria Williams, etc.
