Free So Free
After a couple diversions and a pretty weak solo album, Mr. Mascis gets back to his roots and delivers a very decent offering. If you are a fan Dinosaur Jr’s "Bug" and "Green Mind" (if not, you should be), you’ll dig the trademark cacophony of swirly fuzzy guitars, aggressive drumming and J’s earnest drawl. The first track ‘Freedom" is the best, but keep listening, there’s a good vibe throughout — a solid, but not spectacular, return to the Dino sound.
