lethrneck4Participantgot mine in the mail today, came with a cool promo poster with a real early pic of j,lou and murph. j has the deep wound sweater on. listening to them now. havent got a chance to read the liner notes yet, but they look cool with a lot of cool pictures. the discs sound awesome also, dont have to crank my volume almost to full to hear them like the old ones. anyone know the deal with the contest? for the signed bug LP, were the winners announced??

bobParticipantI guess it wouldn’t be. (no deep wound shirt) I bet I know which photo it is though.
Anyway, I just broke down and bought it.
only $3 to ship to Canada (and the exchange rate is favourable for me right now too!)reasons to buy these reissues:
-great price
-expanded liner notes with photos
-does it float live
-remastered sound
-videos
-i think my bug had a little scratch during no boneswow this is my 4th time buying ylaom!

andyfestParticipantI was all giddy on my way home from work yesterday because two of you had received your CDs. Mine didn’t come, however. How depressing. Hopefully they’ll be there today. Tell me, how much of an improvement is the sound quality on these versions? I’m especially curious about Dinosaur since they lost the masters and had to remaster from a vinyl copy of the album.

andyfestParticipantI received my little bundle of joy in the mailbox today. March 17 currently ranks as the best day of 2005 for me so far and that has nothing to do with it being St. Patrick’s Day.
Of course, I already own all of the songs but still, it’s nice to get something "new" relating to Dinosaur Jr.

doomtownParticipantWow, that was fast! Did you guys choose Priority mail? What about the insurance? Media mail can’t be that fast.
March 17, 2005 at 12:22 pm #107743
andyfestParticipantI just did the free shipping option. I ordered them on the 11th though so it’s been several days assuming they were sent within a couple of days of placing the order. They must just be rewarding us who are preordering by getting them to us early or something.

A Dino DVD would be cool, indeed – there´s tons of live footage of the 1986-1989 band available, many shows where filmed from the audience. I saw a video of the 1989 London Powerhouse show & I was amazed how energetic & dynamic the original band is on stage, pure passion. I hope the reunion shows are being filmed, but I am absolutely convinced they will be. Japanese festivals are well covered by the press & TV stations, and I am sure the download festival will be, too.

kracked873Participantill definetely be filming some of the reunion shows
