Sonic CrackwhoreParticipantI used to own a record label w/Raymond Pettibon
We were in a band, he sang and I played bass. The band was called Sur Drone, the label was called Love Unlimited, Inc. The whole thing only lasted a few years.
Anybody heard of us or stumble upon our CD? The cover was a Pettibon portrait of Warren Beatty with some killer text.

Sonic CrackwhoreParticipantI can’t believe there are NO Pettibon fans on this board.

Got to know his work through the Minutemen/Mike Watt. There was a great Pettibon exhibition over here in The Hague a couple of years ago, with about 600 of his original drawings & lots of other stuff like record covers & magazines. He even made a very large drawing on a wall in the museum especially for the exhibition, must have a picture of it somewhere in my ‘vaults’, if I find it I will post it here….
…didn’t know that he has been in a band though….
