Friday Oct. 7 a friend of mine is doing a live telephone interview with J around 1 p.m. @ 90.9 W.O.N.Y. in Oneonta N.Y. He asked me to e-mail him with any suggestions for questions to ask and I, in turn, ask all of you if there is anything anyone would like to know from the man himself. Post them here or e-mail me directly…but do it soon or too bad for you. MOOOO.

I know very few people give a damn…and I don’t blame you for not asking it…but i’d be interested in knowing what J.’s got in his golf bag (in terms of golfing equipment…i’m not trying to incriminate the guy or anything).

    Mmmmmmm….floor pie.

Friday is actually the 6th, so is the interview Friday or Saturday? I have friends in that area; I’d like to get someone to tape it for me. Post if you can!

As for questions, well, last night I had a dream that J came into my room barefoot with wet hair and took a nap on my bed. Maybe it means something??

If you can’t think of a question yet take yer time (not too much) and come back to post it.
I’m going to see the Fog Oct. 26th in NC.
I’ll try to get J to answer whatever questions don’t get asked at this radio interview.

Alright, I have some questions for J:

How does he feel about playing bass himself for the recording of More Light?

We’ve read that he was already working on songs for a next album. Does he have a lot of material already, and is he planning on bringing out an album after More Light quite fast?

How does he write his lyrics? Has this changed over the years? Why does he never print them in the cd booklet? (The lyrics in Quest are ‘transcribed’ by someone else.)

    Jasper

"Ever since Uma left, things haven’t really been the same. Everyone has their head down, and no one’s smiling anymore. The other day, a guy lit himself on fire and no one even cared – because Uma wasn’t around anymore."

Jeremiah, you are indeed the Big Cheese! Some of us meek underlings will also be seeing J in the very near future; perhaps we’ll ask him questions ourselves. Enjoy!

I’d like details on J’s approach to songwriting in general. From his imagination to the mass-produced CD’s, how does he do it? As a moderately decent guitarist who finds anything other than improvisational home recording rather daunting, I am looking to develop some skills as a songwriter. It’s always the most important thing I want to learn from any pro musician, I’m just hoping something will click!
