pixies re-release oop albums on vinyl
BIG BLACK (FRANCIS) !
PIXIES have announced they will reissue their first three albums on heavyweight vinyl.
1987’s ’Come On Pilgrim’, 1988’s ’Surfer Rosa’ and 1989’s ’Doolittle’ will all be re-released on 180-gram vinyl after years of being out of production.
All the albums will come backed with the original artwork, with the exception of ‘Doolittle’ which will feature an insert featuring the lyrics.
The news follows a highly-successful year for the seminal band who’s reformation tour has prompted much speculation about the possibility of an all-new album.
A brand new song, ’Bam Thwok’, appeared on iTunes earlier in the year.

RobertParticipantand they’re great, so all that have a turntable and likes pixies should get them.
unless you’re lucky enough to have the original pressings of course.September 26, 2004 at 5:15 pm #105101

unless you’re lucky enough to have the original pressings of course.….well, I’m lucky enough to have the original vinyl versions, but they were not on 180 gram vinyl , so now you can nearly see through the original black vinyl
, so I might replace them with the new versions (and get that lyric sheet for Doolittle as a bonus, wow….
)

RobertParticipantCool! Oh and if you find them, could you please tell me the price for them in holland? They were pretty expensive here, allmost 30 euro a piece, due to the high inprice for the store. But I guess that’s how it is when it’s 180g vinyl.
