AnnastefkaParticipantThe only way to have a private phone conversation in my house circa 1975 was to go around the corner
and into the bathroom and shut the door. The long curly cord would then be strung across the entrance to the kitchen causing everyone to have to step over it.My favorite song in the whole world was "Fire" from the Ohio Players, I could listen to it over and over again.
AND a trip to Acapulco Mexico was every upper middle class dwellers dream.
I did have to walk to school with my little sister on my back (metaphorically) for years.

And hey, I’m 33 and proud of it, you whippersnapper! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a bingo game I’ve got to be at before my nap time…..February 9, 2006 at 2:21 pm #114737
Bucky RamoneParticipantI remember the days you needed a large room to store your music collection (on vinyl of course….
), nowadays you just need a gizmo the size of a stamp…..
….and for the computer people amongst us: I still have the first program I’ve ever written on a deck of 80-column punch cards….

AnnastefkaParticipant"duane " wrote:– Headbangers Ball on MTV RULED!Sorry, headbangers ball? that makes you to young for this thread. Those of us who are "old" were too busy working to pay off the student loan or our first mortgage/rent or following a toddler around to be veggin’ out to Mtv in the late 80’s.

. Anybody remember that? Kind of a mish mash of video’s and featurettes that was around in the early eighties. I remember watching Iggy Pop’s "Pain and Suffering" video on there.
