The Lollapalooza festival which Sonic Youth were to tour with this summer has been cancelled. Anyone who has already bought tickets can find details on ticket refunds at http://www.lollapalooza.com.
Sonic Youth still plan to tour North America this summer, and are currently adding shows almost daily to the schedule. Here is what is known so far:

Also, look forward to Sonic Youth performing on Late Night with Conan O’Brian on July 7, and the Late Show with Craig Kilbourn on July 19.
And finally, don’t forget that the new CD ‘Sonic Nurse’ and DVD ‘Corporate Ghost’ are available now. ‘Sonic Nurse’ will be available as a double LP July 12.

alas, no Germany gigs. can it be all good bands leave out my part of the world?!hope they’ll do some more Eurodates!
generally I have to say, the new SY album Sonic Nurse is really good! and it grows with listening. it’s getting better, not boring with repetition
I still love their previous album Murray St. more, but that could change… -
