Cool, so we know there’s a new Dino album coming – (I’m guessing Sept/Oct) so the usual nobody gets it right guess the name thread!

My money is on 10 or X although I quite like dinosaur jr- dinosaur jr…………

The last one was called Farm then before that Beyond. What`s beyond the farm? The City!
The new album will be called City

As long as Marq Spusta does the artwork, they can call it whatever they like, IMHO.

Well they just got done with a tour of ‘Bug’ which we all know after the album and tour Lou was released. Now Lou managed to survive another string of three albums and J’s mind must be happy and because he is happy his mind must now be purple. The new album is going to be called ‘Purple Mind’

I like City! – Did look like those tree people from Farm were on the way to the city!

Beard, I’ll go with Beard since J has one now.

Guitar solos in the key of E

according to Lou & John Agnello’s twitter updates, there will be 3 Lou penned tracks on this one and it is in the final stages of mixing (just days left).

    Can’t wait!

I REALLY can’t wait! I think he even had titles? Unless they are working ones……

I wish they would release singles (not on an album) just sporadically throughout the year as well as an LP, I know I’m greedy but apart from Dinosaur I don’t really care for music 🙂

New Dinosaur Jr album title “I Bet On Sky” with a release date (In Germany at least) for August 31st 🙂

Sweet, can’t wait! Tour announcement next? You know its only been 9 months since I’ve seen J….

Be sure to brush up on your German before going to the link.

I can’t wait for “Ich wette, auf Himmel” !

and now the cover art and US dates

    Via Pitchfork

Fuzz rock titans Dinosaur Jr. will release their new record I Bet on Sky September 18 in the U.S. via Jagjaguwar, and September 17 in the UK/Europe via PIAS. It’s the band’s third album since reuniting the original lineup in 2005, following 2009’s Farm and 2007’s Beyond.
That’s the cover art, above. Watch a “Pitchfork Weekly” segment with J Mascis after the tracklisting:
    I Bet On Sky:
    01 Don’t Pretend You Didn’t Know
    02 Watch the Corners
    03 Almost Fare
    04 Stick a Toe In
    05 Rude
06 I Know It Oh So Well
    07 Pierce the Morning Rain
    08 What Was That
    09 Recognition
10 See It on Your Side

Fuzz rock titans (tick) anyone in the office got anything left for the next Dino press release 🙂 ?

“There is nothing quite like a Dinosaur Jr. album. The best ones are always recognizable from the first notes. And even though J tries to trip us up by smearing “Don’t Pretend You Didn’t Know” with keyboards, it’s clear from the moment he starts his vocals that this is the one and only Dinosaur Jr., long reigning kings of Amherst, Massachusetts (and anywhere else they choose to hang their toques).” -Byron Coley
