need help with title of j.mascis song

i saw a live video performance of j.mascis he was like playing solo on acoustic guitar wearing a green shirt

anyway to open up the set he played a really nice song

i want to know what the title is

some of the lyrics were like
"give me the ingredients and ill mix it"

and the chorus is like
"there never really is a good time"

if someone can help me title this song i would appreciate it, or if someone can supply me with an mp3 because i want to play it for my year 12 hsc music assessment (i live in australia) i love that song its easily my favourite

‘thumb’ seems to be on every bootleg of a live show or compilation of some sort (‘quest’, ‘whatevers cool with me’). while its a good song and i like it, im kind of tired of it being EVERYWHERE.
