I dont’t think this one is in the ‘Mouthing off’ book:

"I don’t know, I just love the song. I love her, Pat Benatar. I think she’s amazing … a rock ‘n’ roll chick."

Britney Spears, speaking to the Boston Herald about her cover of the song "I love rock and roll", a song made famous by Joan Jett.

There is no recording of Pat Benatar ever singing the song

Another one from Britney:

"I get to go to lots of overseas places, like Canada"

Nice! You reminded me of another Britney gem:

"I dunno, I can’t really relate to the song"
–referring to "Baby One More Time", her breakout hit

hehehe

Oh, and I can’t forget:

"I used to like him until he started disrespecting God"

Is it wrong for me to desire the execution of anyone who’d confuse Joan Jett for Pat Benatar?

I’m torn here.

"This is Primus, I like it. . . But when I listen closely I hear something I hate… slap bass"-Yngiwe Malmsteen, during a blind listening test for Guitar World. (he also tore apart Dinosaur Jr. )

Isn’t that like saying "I like Van Halen, but I hate tapping?"

Ron Asheton talking about playing with J & Watt at the ATP show in LA…

"It was hard for my brother, because those guys like to go OUT. The highest compliment we got was from the security guards. Those guys all said it was the best music they ever heard ‘all that noise and feedback and shit’."

Hmmm, they like to go OUT
