buckingham rabbitParticipantthis may have already been talked about, but does anyone else have any of his solo albums? i’ve got ‘which way is up?’ and ‘year of mondays’. the former is a really great album, actually, and the second one is good too, but just not as good as the first. don’t have his third one. his voice is the total opposite of j’s.

MattmanParticipantI have ‘Year of Mondays’ which I think is really good, but I do have to be in a certain mood to listen to it.
I also have ‘I Feel Alright" which has some really good songs on it too, but I don’t like it as much as YOM.
I haven’t heard his first album, ‘Where Am I’ and I completely forgot about ‘Which Way Is Up?’. Sounds like you like it, so I may have to check it out…

tomParticipantMikes first disc is pretty good, I don”t listen to it that much anymore, but I would’nt ever sell it.
I think Year of Mondays has some great songs on it. It’s actually my favorite album of his. At a couple of the Hand it Over tour shows I saw, J took over on the drums, Mike played guitar and sang, and Mike’s ex-wife(Leslie Hardy I believe is her name, from the now defunct Juned) played a few of the songs from YOM. She was awesome on the bass, and J is the best damn drummer I’ve ever seen. It’s amazing, but J is actually a better drummer than he is a guitar player! He is so damn talented.
I liked I feel Alright, but to me it’s more of a disc I’d throw on when I wake up, or go to bed. Every songs about his wife cheating on/ betraying him. You feel sad for Mike after hearing that album.December 7, 2001 at 11:30 am #66551
JebusParticipantHey, I love "Year of Mondays". Pretty much, whenever I get outta bed and it’s overcast, I reach for "Mondays" or the Hank Sr. box set.
I wanna be like Mike.
