duaneParticipantSigh… I’m bored. I’ve never started a thread on any forum, but I feel like we all could use a challenge. So, anybody wanna guess what song this set of lyrics come from? My only request is that we don’t get too obscure- don’t make me break out Mr Cabbage Head and the Screamig Radishes!
Here it goes. What song is this from? Need song and artist please. If you find yourself standing at the end of your line
looking for a piece of something maybe a piece of mind
fed up, lost, and run down nowhere to hold on
tired of, take your place at the end son we’ll get to you one by oneFrom one to ten on the difficulty scale, this one’s seems about a 6 to me (and a one for SG). Good luck!

duaneParticipantWhew! Goin’ deep! It’s a Richard Buckner song I think but, I dunno which one. To be honest, I cheated a little bit and asked my all knowing buddy. Is this correct?

Give dirt to me, I bite lament

duaneParticipantOh yeah! Now we’re talkin’.
That’s The Call Up by The Clash. I got lucky too, as that’s the ONLY Clash album I own! Took me a while to get it though, I went through plenty of Sex Pistols and was about to give up. Good one.
Something about listening to The Clash that makes me want to drink and fight…. lolTry this one.
No time frame for what I need to do today

Is no hope in you for me

But I got all the time for you, loveAwww, c’mon. I, for one, welcome the challenge!
I loved digging through my Allison Krauss and Buck Ownes records to look for the lyrics SG posted earlier in this thread (Good one, SG, by the way!) and wondering what Sex Pistols song Bufo Alvarius posted, even though I was way off track. Guess I’m just lookin for any excuse to talk about music….Oh, and thats Dave Matthews to answer your post.
