Contrary to what I said before I think it’s probably gash and run, it doesn’t sound like cash it to me.

I always though it was, "Wait for me there, don’t gas and run" kind of makes more sense that way don’t you think?

one line i’ve always liked to interpret my own way is in the 2nd verse after "It’s a twisted feeling…", I think J. says "Now it’s time to burn the "hope I" store".

I love singing it that way. lol…

seems like turning your back on optimism, or being bravely confident.

i always thought he said "for gettin high" but he sounds like he adds a D or something on the end there to make "hide"

and then i think he says "let the shelter swell inside" i don’t quite understand the sites that post "shellfish swell inside"…

and i’ve always believed he says "pave my fate" at the end

I’m pretty sure it’s "please excuse it, forget and hide

and I think it’s "let the shelter swell inside" but that does sound weird.

also, I think it’s face not faith

I think it’s "pave my fate" too, simply because that’s what the tar was used for (or leftover from). Was just listening to this song, Sounds good.

    It’s a twisted feeling?
    Now it’s time to burn?

Anyone know what Doug Martsch (built to spill) is singing here and there? Great song, by either.

After covering the song for the freakscene tribute, I sang this verse

It’s a twisted feeling, staring, bored
Now it’s time to burn, I hope I score

I am now convinced however that the correct verse is,

It’s a twisted feeling, staring bored
now it’s time to burn the hope I stole.

I cringe everytime I listen to my cover now believing that I screwed a lyric up. Oh well.
