trensidohParticipantTried to record the June 8 show, but that didn’t work out since my mic disconected from the MD…
Anyway, got the June 9 show on MD, but it sounds like a nitemare… the levels where just too much for my mic although I set the rec-volume to the lowest point possible. The recording is a mass of distortion, but you can still get a thrill out of it when playing it back plus all of the excitement & good vibe is there. You can actually enjoy J’s guitar solos, but it’s just super-lofi. Anyway, I’ll keep my finger’s crossed and wait for a better recording to surface (Come on – there where some 2000 people there, somebody MUST have recorded it…) Ajay, the sound-guy, had a pair of stereo-mics set up at at the soundboard. I’ve seen at least 5 cameras filming.
Anyway, if no other recording of the June 9th show will surface in the next weeks I’ll try and get my show uploaded, no matter how crappy it sounds.
Ahh, I am surprised that no-one mentioned the re-arranged version of Quest they played – with a 2 minute J solo at the beginning (?). Put tears in my eyes. Seeing J AND Lou SING TOGETHER almost made me cry. It was beautiful.
Did anyone notice when Murph played the drum intro to U2’s Sunday Bloody Sunday ? And how Lou jokingly asked him to stop playing… ?June 11, 2005 at 9:56 am #110157

ChrisSmallParticipantQuote:Seeing J AND Lou SING TOGETHER almost made me cry. It was beautiful.Indeed. Above everything else, the band seems to be having pure unadulterated FUN at these shows. Lou was wisecracking constantly on the 9th and J must have introduced at least half a dozen songs. Whatever the future holds for them, this reunion has already been a success.
