Watt posted this on his elist.

watt joins j + the fog on another tour!

j mascis & the fog "more light" tour 2001

here’s round two of touring w/ j + the fog.
this time, we’re doing some canada, midwest,
japan and australia. the japan part will be
new for watt, never been there before and
can’t wait. in ann arbor, we got original
stooges guitarist ron asheton jamming w/us
and that sure looks like fun. second time for
watt in australia, the first time was w/the
porno for pyros and boy, did I dig that. just
have to tell you all that it’s really a blast
    playing w/ j and george and it’s great we’re
doing another chapter in the fog tour book.

read about watt’s first tour w/j, october – december, 2000:

by the way, bass player magazine just did an
article about me playing w/the fog. it’s in
the bass notes section of the february 2001
issue and it’s called road report for mike watt:

    Thanks again Watt!

Amazing, they must be thrilled to be playing with not only Wayne Kramer but Ron Asheton….unbelievable. Wonder if they will wear the yellow Ron Asheton shades Watt & Mascis wore to a photo shoot…that would be cool. You guys are definitely in for some amazing music!!

Above link it to a cool site that has a great interview with Ron Asheton….he also played a mean bass once James Williamson signed on with the Stooges.

ps looking forward to the show reviews…hint hint

good link to a Ron Asheton biography/discography….not bad!!
