Dinosaur Sr.ParticipantSorry if this has been covered off before but can’t find any mention.
On my copy this track stops in mid-stream at 2m 52s. It is clearly not the end of the song, it just stops and goes to track 7. Anyone know why, or do I have a dud copy? It is the Australian release.
I read somewhere that some masters were totally or partly destroyed in the fire at J’s place, but not sure if that fits chronologically. It seems an odd choice to include this when there are so many other great, complete tracks that aren’t there, and a bit improbable that only part of a song would survive perfectly. Can anyone help out?

kracked873Participantjust like heaven allways cuts off there, even in the music video. somebody else might be able to tell you why. but i dunno. never questioned it, i remember years ago downloading it over and over and wondering why it was allways cut off, then i realized..

rdParticipantIf I rememer correctly, what happened when Just Like Heaven was recorded is that the tape cut off,or broke, at that point, 2m 52s. The band liked it and decided to leave it instead of rerecording it.
What label put out the Australian version of Ear Bleeding Country and what is the catalog number for it. I’d like to add that to Keeblin.com.
Thanks

Bucky RamoneParticipantA discussion on the Cure vs. Dinosaur Jr’s ‘Just like heaven’ (the abrupt ending is mentioned a couple of times…)
Quote:One of the best things about the song (apart from the solo which RAWKs) was Mascis explanation to the Maker (I think) for why he did it: "We wanted to pick up on more death-rock chicks".February 12, 2005 at 4:08 pm #107438

BTW, I love what you’ve done there, cool animation on the opening screen and the booklets work real nice.
Thanks to all for the explanations/comments.

rdParticipantThanks. I’m glad people actually check out the site. Thanks for the info on the Australian version of Ear Bleeding Country. That info will be up when I upload a few new cd’s, hopefully this weekend.
Thanks Again
