John DysonParticipantHey everybody,
I’ve just bought a copy of "Uncut" magazine to keep me entertained on a long train journey.
The theme of the main article is the top 40 Rolling Stones songs of all time as chosen by a panel of journalists, rock stars, etc.
There are a couple of quotes from J that i thought might interest people:
He names "Sway" off "Sticky Fingers" as his favourite ever track. "My fave Stones song, even though Jagger is playing guitar."
Later in the article talking about "happy" from the same album he is quoted as saying "A Great moment on the greatest record ever."
Personally I tihnk i’d go for Let it bleed as best Stones album – anyone else got any opinions??

Bucky RamoneParticipant1. ‘Exile on main street’!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(….nothing for a very long time……)
2. Sticky Fingers
….these are the only two Stones albums I have…..
EOMS is one of the most brilliant albums ever made, didn’t care much about all the other stuff they ever made (and I think it’s quite a sad sight to see some sixty-year old people doing another world tour next year)Ryan Adams (with Beth Orton) is doing a great cover of ‘Brown Sugar’ on one of the CD’s that is coming free with the Uncut magazine, check it out!

AGAPParticipantHey,
Thanks for the info John, hopefully it kept you entertained for awhile on the train.
Exile on Main Street is my fav as well, just a great sound on that disc… Sticky Fingers is alright…those are great songs J mentioned definitely…but that cover I liked a lot of their really early stuff with Brian Jones…19th Nervous Breakdown stuff like that.
Gotta agree its a shame they just don’t give up the touring but hey sure there are some 60 year olds who want to check it out…
