OriginalPosterLostParticipant">Joel</A> has informed that XFM ( <A HREF="http://www.xfm.co.uk[/email%5D ), a
radio station in the UK, will be playing a Radio Session J recorded TODAY.
It looks like it is available as Windows Media format (audio only I
imagine) and it will happen tonight between 20:00 and 23:00 UK time.
Unlike the NME show this is truly live radio and unless they archive it,
it is unlikely that there will be any more chances to capture this! There
are no advertisements for this on the site(that I have found) but it has
been announced on the radio there.
Here are the links for the Windows Media Streams:DialUp – http://streaming.capitalinteractive.co.uk/xfm_low
Broadband – http://streaming.capitalinteractive.co.uk/xfm_highDon’t forget you guys can record Windows Media Streams

OriginalPosterLostParticipantHelp…
could’nt tune the station in where i am (m idlands)if any one tapes this show please let me know ( i cant access the web site either!)

OriginalPosterLostParticipantYeah… I went to http://capitalinteractive.co.uk/
Here is what it said
Gone today but here tomorrow.Due to essential maintenance work on our servers the site will be unavailable
for a short period from Tuesday 19th September whilst the backroom boffins
fine tune the technology. We’ll be on-line again within 24 hours and all should
back to normal by Wednesday 20th September.
Please bear with us whilst we carry out this work which marks the first stage
of some very exciting changes for the website over the coming months. Don’t
forget to check back soon for up-to-the-minute station news, great music
features and more…
In the meantime, stay tuned and thank you for your patience!
And I can’t get in to the XFM site either. Maybe they are both on the same server… But it is Sept 20th (Wednesday) in the UK now! 7:00AM I think. So why does it not work? Maybe they will be back up in an hour. They must have started the maintanance some time in the morning.
But let’s say they go back up. Is 20:00 to 23:00 UK time about 7:00 to 10:00 AM Eastern Standard US time? Might be worth calling in sick to find out if the server is up again.
I may be totally off on that time zone conversion. And maybe I misunderstood that message the server gave me as well.
Thanks for the heads up!

OriginalPosterLostParticipantThey worked for me too. They broadcasted three songs (Same Day, Ammaring, Waistin’), at about 9.30 PM London time, which was 4.30 PM Eastern Standard US time.
They also said something about J doing their "Hi-Jack" (?) show, which apparantly means that he’s coming to the studio and bring some of his favourite music. Is there anybody who knows more about this?Jasper

OriginalPosterLostParticipantDamn, I missed the J part (I was at work) but I did catch Ween doing "Hi-jack" today and they played some pretty cool stuff. If anyone captured the J stuff please let me know! Also, if you know when the J "Hi-Jack" is post it here or email me!!!!!!

OriginalPosterLostParticipantI recorded the stuff but only onto tape – I only found out about the broadcast late yesterday afternoon.
There was no date for the J Mascis "hi-jack" perhaps it will be on the xfm site play list. However the "hi-jack" should have J talking about his choices and as we all know J interviews are pretty thin on the ground so it’ll be well worth tuning in for.

OriginalPosterLostParticipantxfm is rather an annoying radio station stuck in a timewarp. they seem to have an obsession with stone roses songs and the evening dj (the one i catch in the car) is a Kiwi who believes that if you dont like the same things he does you have to ‘open your mind’ (unquote) It never occurs to him that he simply may have very poor taste 🙂
still, if they play J they cant all be bad!
anyone got a net ready recording? i was in france at the time
