AnnastefkaParticipantI was driving yesterday late afternoon and we had the radio on an Atlanta station and sure enough, they played "Feel the Pain", we had all the windows down, and I turned it up as loud as it would go, and started shouting at other drivers at the stop lights, "Hey, Hey, listen, it’s J Mascis, on the radio, "Thats my Boy"
I had people in other cars smiling, and my children crouching in embarrassment. This is my sure fire approach to making my children as straight as arrows, it’s working. With the reunion, I wonder if anyone else here has heard any J and Co. (any Co.) on the radio?

andyfestParticipantNice! Several years ago (probably 5 or 6) I called the local ‘Modern Rock’ station and requested "Feel the Pain." Despite the DJ replying, "I haven’t heard that song in years, I’ll try to dig it up for you" it was never played.
I doubt any Dino will get on the radio here since the only station that might play them is all about Hoobastank, System of a Down and Nickleback.

rambleonParticipantonce in a blue moon they’ll play something j-related on BBC radio 6, which is a digital radio station, so it doesn’t reach very many people at the moment unless you have digital radio +/or tv — or you’re inclined to access it online … we can get it thru our tv, but how often do we listen to it b/c of that?? … not very much!! … it is however an excellen station + i’d encourage anyone + everyone to check it out when they can …

AatosParticipantI heard two Dinosaur Jr songs a couple of months ago. The station also mentioned about the upcoming re-union tour. Radio Helsinki does play some good music once in a while.

FlyingCloudParticipanthaven’t heard Dino on the radio for a very long time. but yesterday at 3am when I was entering a club, I was greeted by "Feel the Pain", which made me feel very much at home
further the cool female DJ played stuff like Modest Mouse, the Arcade Fire, Beck, the Thermals etc, etc. nice place.

AnnastefkaParticipantOn my way to work this evening around 7pm
and heard "feel the pain" again, I was happy to hear the mascis
on the radio but why always this song. I guess because it sounds sort
of regular, meaning… y’all know what I mean by regular, I guess. It’s 1am, I wish I could put on some music really loud about now,
dance around, stand on the chairs, jump off, spin around, but………….
can’t…………February 13, 2006 at 5:10 am #110536
