ok … i definitely have the jenny jones show on video tape …

it’s at the end of a bootleg tape which i bought on ebay a long while back which was listed as dinosaur jr, @ the 9:30 club, washington dc, 1997 …

i don’t know what’s it’s all about really b/c there’s also 2 mini interviews w/the band (j, george berz and matt johnson) spliced between songs, so i guess it was some made-for-tv thing …

    they play:

    the wagon
    mini interview
    blowin it
    i live for that look
never bought it (i think this is the name of this one)
    mini interview 2
puke + cry (awesome version, why doesn’t j play this anymore?)
    feel the pain
    sludgefeast
    ? don’t know this one ? … maybe it’s a cover

then the tape has 3 live MTV europe peformances (j, matt johnson and murph)

    thumb
    get me
    raisins

and then there’s the jenny jones show (j, matt johnson + george berz) …

never bought it (i think this is the name of this one)
    out there

hey, just found this funny topic on nirvana2.com : http://www.nirvana2.com/system/display.php?thread=7043&forum=9&perpage=30&page=1

    Quote from Juan:
Me and my friend were drunk once, listening to Dinosaur Jr. and commenting on how much we like them, and how we don’t even know what they look like. Then we got hungry so we went upstairs and made some food and put on the TV. The show Jenny Jones was on which is a cheesy daytime talk show. They were doing makeovers on really ugly people, and we thought it was funny. Then she says they have a musical guest at the end of the show. We’re like, "oh no, she never does musicial guests – this is gonna be bad", and then she says the musical guest is DINOSAUR JR! We just about fell out of our seats! They came out and played two songs. All of the black people in the audience were confused and they made ugly faces. That’s the only time I ever saw an interesting musical guest on Jenny Jones. I can’t imagine what the fuck that was all about. Maybe she was banging J Mascis? ()

    J Mascis is smooth.

hey, according to this  http://thingy.apana.org.au/~fun/jennyjones/timewarner_products.html”>http://thingy.apana.org.au/~fun/jennyjo … ducts.html website, the jenny jones show was owned by the time warner group + dinosaur jr were on reprise which is a warner label … so that’s why they were on the show …

the dino played with on Arsenio Hall show was Del The Funkee Homosapien (later of Gorillaz and Heiroglyphics). Dino/Del have a song on the Judgment Night soundtrack.

It was J, Mike Johnson and Mike D. on Drums. Del tha funkee homosapien on vocals doing there cut from the Judgement Night soundtrack which is the best song on that disc IMHO.

The best performance ever on any talk show I would imagine.
