SGParticipantThanks for the article DB
SY has always been into pop culture icons like their Ciccone Youth project so the Mariah fascination is`nt that surprising
too bad they had to change it,it`s like when Smog did a song about Prince, the purple guy sent lawyers after Bill Callahan warning him not to play the song live when he was going to in Minneapolis.

how is your pregnancy going ? … + remind me how much longer you have to go … did you decide on a name yet or is that top secret until the big day ?
Hey just today I came back to this topic. Well, the whole Pink Floyd idea esp. "Meddle" was BECAUSE we had all eaten or drank so much that we were unsettled. We were at my friends Joel’s house many years ago (before children) and we were all so drunk and stoned. Our Friend Chris Blanchard, now a lawyer here in town, went through Joel’s CD’s and found "Meddle". Our whole Athens gang was there and from that day forward we associate "Meddle" with that terrible feeling you get when you know you have crossed the line in what your body can handle. It came from our highschool years, sitting around in someones basement unable to move, feeling as if you were going to throw up at any moment. This has been a running joke now for over 12 years, at any gathering, when most have left or fallen asleep (we don’t call it passed out now that we are grown-up) the few that are left will put on "Meddle" it siginfies that it all has come to and end, and Pink Floyd in general tends to be an expectorate, very medicinal. It makes those who seem to be completly asleep, come out with a "Oh, God, No" I am always up cleaning wine glasses and putting up food so it could be my own form of torture.
The baby, ahh, I am already in my 5th month, I was sure that this baby was coming the first few days of December but ultrasound says he will come Mid-November. My others were all over 2 weeks late so it should be interesting. I am still fighting for "Oscar" the children want to name him "Kai" I like "Pablo" My husbands father (Whom I adored) was named "Alvaro" We are undecided. My last child Tiger Liliana was un named even 10 months after her birth,
, we were calling her Liliana but had not yet gone to the state records, in Atlanta, btw, 1 1/2 hours away! They sent us a letter saying her name would forever be Baby Girl Villaveces if we did not act before her 1st birthday. Of course after that we could have changed it but would have had to have a lawyer! I don’t want to go through that again. My quotes are screwed up, what am I doing wrong?????????

FlyingCloudParticipanthey Annstefka, I agree, Tiger Liliana is a much nicer name than "Baby Girl"
great to hear that things are going well with your pregnancy, all good wishes for the following monthsquotes always need a tag at the start, like
Quote:or"someone" wrote:and a close tagat the end. it can happen, that one of these tags accidentally get erased when deleting some of the text you want to quote from, that’s why it turns out screwed. I fixed it in your above post

FlyingCloudParticipantI just signed for a faster & cheaper internet connection, but they’ll change the line in August or so. can’t wait
…if it turns out fine, my connection will just be faster then, without spending many thoughts about it. but from bad life experience I could tell that I’ll be cut off from phone and net for over a week, having to lead several discussions with "help hotlines"..and in the end I’ll have a too high bill… hmmmm let’s be optimistic…

AnnastefkaParticipantThanks for fixing my quote box, I need to pay more attention.
I noticed that a few of my favorite old CD’s have vanished from my collection and last night I made a copy of a friends Rem "Document" CD. This morning I woke up worried, I feel like a thief, It’s July, and I didn’t buy it, I ummmmm stole it.

FlyingCloudParticipantI also did that, more than once …the difference is, you could bump into a band member on the street sooner or later, and apologize personally
