FlyingCloudParticipanthey rambleon, thanks a lot for keeping us informed about what’s going on in musical & cultural life, thanks for all the links & articles, very much appreciated!!good to read through all of them, so it doesn’t appear quiet here in the forums for me
I’m not on holiday, actually, but besides work, there are quite a lot "real life" activities going on here…
and, the worst time killer these days in my life is, that I pulled up my most favourite pc game, Civilization II (a strategy/ empire building game), I can litertrally spend days and nights with that game. I don’t think the following versions of that game are improvements, but Civilization II (as old-fashioned the graphics & algorithms might be, compared to 3 d console stuff) is still mind-absorbing for me.
well, I’m optimistic that I’ll leave it behind again, soon. I mean, I already know everything about this game, I already played all possible variations, which took me years :aliensmile:so that’s it from my side, would be interesting to hear where the others are absorbed in

rambleonParticipantyeah … i guess london itself it a lot emptier + quieter right now – which actually is a refreshing change from the hustle + bustle … tomorrow is a ntl holiday here, so a lot of people went away for the week/end …
yes, i admit i went on a bit of a posting frenzy today … my husband was out + i got to post a lot of stuff that i’ve been meaning to for a while now

Bucky RamoneParticipant…well I started my holiday last week, did a lot of fun things before leaving to Switzerland tomorrow, so I have been quite quiet on this board last week and will be near silent the next couple of weeks….

HansioneParticipantI did some "holiday – kinda -things" like a bicycle tour. About 680 km through holland, Belgium and France in 6 days. Watched a lot of the Greek Olympics and some other stupid reasons to stay off-board for a couple of weeks.

AatosParticipantFC: Hey! Civilizations are so cool!! I guess you mean that civ3 sucks, BUT its not by Sid Meier. There is a CIV3 by SId Meier that is really good.
Ive also played civilizations for many years. But i still dont beat the computer guys if they are too many and if the gamelevel is hard.
Anyway the game is highly addictive and fun(and really hard)!August 31, 2004 at 3:34 pm #104665
RobertParticipantI’ve been occupied with the opposite of holiday. And I’ve painted some shelves.

AnnastefkaParticipantRambleon and all, I have to let you know that Mercury is in Retrograde, this happens about three times a year (average) and lasts about three weeks, during the second half of a Mercury retrograde the environment seems to stand-still. There is a hush effect. Check out this Haiku that I wrote for Freakscene during the last Mercury Retograde.

Mercury is odd
going backwards in the sky
Freak scene feels so still
_________________If interested go to your search engine and look up Mercury Retrograde. It is VERY, interesting. It gives us all a chance to look into our lives and see the bones, so to speak!!! Oh, this one is over on Thursday, so by the weekend expect more activity. Peace.

malcomParticipantMy home computer has something like 28 different viruses, I’m starting a new semester at university (got my associates over the summer!), and I’m trying to have a semblence of a social life.
Plus I’m having a crises of faith. I’ve read Our Band Can be your Life several times now, and I just don’t like the Jr. as much as I used to. So I’m having trouble sticking around.
PS: Civ II took a summer of my life, I still play Alpha Centauri, but have not gotten III yet.

AatosParticipantRobert: Is it possible to play Wolfenstein through internet? Or are you talking about the new version of the game..
September 2, 2004 at 11:49 am #104672
AnnastefkaParticipantRobert, What is Wolfenstein? A blow job?!? You sound like my husband, when I complain that I think he has a sexual addiction he says "NO, I’m just a regular guy, we all want the same thing" I guess so.
September 2, 2004 at 12:09 pm #104673
RobertParticipantAatos, it’s wolfenstein enemy territory, a free version of the game that’s for online playing. It’s great, though I stink at it. You should definetely try it!
Annastefka, see reply to Aatos. I sound like your husband why? Does Anthony beat him in wolfenstein as well?
