Randy JaneParticipantOk, so I showed you the strat I just got and love, so I’ll tell you about the amp I just got!
I got tired of hearing my Peavey Transtube’s bassy-ness so I took it in to the guitar shop here and traded it even for a 2×12 Fender M-80 combo!!!!! I had read reviews about these amps and had played a 1×12 version once, but I never expected them to sound this good. I knew that they were friggin loud too, but wow….I havent had my ears ring for a few hours since highschool, and that was with a Peavey halfstack turned to 7. I had this thing up to a whopping 2 3/4 and it was already louder than anything else that was going on. Only problem I have with it is that it doesn’t have a external speaker jack for my Laney 4×12. That sucks….but is insintive for me to find an M-80 rack head..hehehe HAHAHA!!!! People are going to leave Randy Jane shows thinking they’ve just been deafend by J. har har.

Randy JaneParticipantyeah man. thats nice, have you ever played a Del Ray guitar before? They play really easy, I really like them…plus they have a really kool look to them. The one I played was natural and I think it only had like three pickups instead of four, but the same body and head. My friends dad has it….he about died when I brought in my ’74 Mustang….he actually polished it for me, thats the second time that has happend to that guitar. My other friends dad polished the crap out of it and told me it was his new favorite of my collection and was really excited about a scratch that his polish brought out. The sad thing is, I think I’ve only changed the strings on that guitar one time since I bought it in 2001.
On a seperate note, I have just won an eBay auction that I’m very happy about!!!!
I just won a Marshall Mosfet Lead 100 head for like $207.50 including shipping! Rockin! It’s my first Marshall amp, I’m excited about it…..Ive heard the Mosfets are loud amps, so I’ll have to compare it to the Fender M-80 I just got. There is a guy now trying to sell me another M-80 and I’m thinking about it….it’s just the head for $100…so, how could you go THAT wrong?R.J.

jebus_the_llamaParticipantcongrats. i hope it sounds nice. my ears ring constantly due to my hotrod deville set at a blistering one. but at 60 tube watts you cant expect much more than near deaf experinces.

lookitssamParticipantI’m psyched, I got an Electric Mistress for my b-day. Now I can whoosh all I want, and make my guitar sound like Billy Bragg. Good times.
Next on my list of stuff to get is this: http://media.zvex.com/lofi.mov”>http://media.zvex.com/lofi.mov (more of this stuff here: http://www.zvex.com/effects.html”>http://www.zvex.com/effects.html )
It’s expensive, but since I finally have a job it might be possible.December 22, 2005 at 12:55 am #113038
