SGParticipantThanks Spaceboy for mentioning Drunk,I checked out some mp3`s by them, they sound good.
Have you ever listened to Low?soon they are going to do some songs with Jason Molina. You can check them out at Yahoo.com in their archived concerts section, they do 4 songs live at Yahoo studios.July 23, 2001 at 4:52 pm #65429
Cloud9ParticipantHey Salami Guy
Thanks for the Live Songs Of Low, will check that Out
Im not really a Fan of Low, they have some great songs, I have a "greatest Hits" Cd, which I made of Tracks I downloaded from NapsterJason & Low: That Could be An Amazing Album
Thanks for that, I knew he was recording some Albums, but I didnot know with whomDid u listen to the right Drunk?
I Once Downloaded A Lot of MP3’s of Drunk, & when I listened to it, it was Hard Rock from some Norwegian Band with the Same Name, that was weird
This is the link for that Norwegian Drunk: http://home.online.no/~rogandre/Drunkhome.htm
I didnot like it, but you can give it a try if u like hard rockJuly 23, 2001 at 6:24 pm #65430
SGParticipantI think I downloaded the right Drunk, they sound like the Palace Brothers,so I think it`s the right band.
check out the Low live stuff I mentioned, the songs they did are"Sunflower","Medicine And Magazines","In Metal","Two Step".
Low are not as easy to get into as some other slow/sad bands but after awhile you realize they are one of the best.
Check out the Dirty Three, they also recorded with Low,they`re from Austrailia,no vocals just violin.guitar, and drums;the guitarist worked recently with Will Oldham.I think Epitonic.com has a mp3 by them.If you see any of their cd`s Ocean Songs is the one to buy;beautiful album, problably their best album.July 24, 2001 at 12:26 pm #65431
AGAPParticipantHey,
Spaceboy gotta love that Phineas Gage thing, worlds most famous frontal lobe damaged guy…yikes.
Just got word The Essential Radio Birdman is on the way…too cool. Great band out of Oz from a ways back with Robin Younger on vocals and Deniz Tek on guitar…whooohoooo. I just hope they cleaned up the sound a bit, always was a bit muddy. Got a live disc back in April which is cool but this one I am really excited about. Cannot wait to be able to play Aloha Steve and Danno anytime I want
On a recent road trip picked up lots of discs but my absolute fav find didn’t even come with a disc…good thing I already had one. Picked up the promo pack for Mike Watt’s Ball Hog Or Tugboat. Got it for four bucks, dust and all, huge yellow fold out jacket with the same cover and fold old black list of tunes etc. Came with a glossary of Pedro Speak/Ring Spiel 95…too funny.
few examples…choke…a fan at the plate
econo…a way of live
hambone…solo
over the top…out of the picture
phone jook…typical booking agent
pretendo…mtv spiel
piss bottle…life saver
pucks…burger
rehersal…for actors not band people
star of the show…least valuable player
tub…brainStill waitin on Waistin to come my way, still not sold on the new Iggy so giving that a wait.
Thats it for now…but I am going out soon so you never know

Cloud9ParticipantHey Another Girl
I Really hate that Phineas Gage EP cuz I cannot play that Damn Thing
When I put it in my CD player it skips some parts of the songs, it scratches and makes noise through the songs
When I listened it at the Store, no problems
When I listen it at a Friends House NO problem either so I think I have to buy a new CD Player
but its the only CD that acts that way
I cannot change it cuz its out of order So I think I have to live with it

Bucky RamoneParticipantGot that Low/Dirty Three cd recently, it’s called In the Fishtank, it’s on the Konkurrent-label (from Holland), and it’s beautiful, including a nine-minute version of Neil Young’s "Down by the river".
Some recent cd’s I got:
Built to Spill: Ancient melodies of the future
Blake Babies: God bless the Blake Babies
Morcheeba: Back to mine (a mix-cd, where Morcheeba mix their favourite records, including Dr. John, Anette Peacock, Jim White, to name but a few…)July 31, 2001 at 5:29 pm #65437

AGAPParticipantHey
Just picked up Beyond Cyberpunk a Wayne Kramer presents deal. Includes tracks by Richard Hell, Dee Dee, Mudhoney, Lesbianmaker(Jimmy Zero from the Dead Boys) and more. Best tune on this disc for me so far is the track by Ron Asheton…Dead End Street…such a great guitar player!!! Lesbianmaker is a close second…Take Me In Your Arms (Like Heroin)…not bad at all!!!
Also picked up Reefer Madness on DVD for eight bucks…such a silly show
