AGAPParticipantHey,
I can’t believe it myself but I just love that stupid song by Spiral Staircase…more today than yesterday. Oh my god, it has a kinda wayne newton sound to it….ahhhh. Actually it makes me giggle like an idiot…sad kinda.

jasperParticipantHere I go: Bryan Adams – ‘Please forgive me.’ I love that song. Of course, there are memories connected with it, but that’s hardly an excuse.
Movie and book are harder to come up with. I love ‘Clueless’, but I don’t mind admitting that. Or should I?

RobertParticipantYeah, it’s great! If you havnen’t done so already you should check out the covers in the uplads section of Freakscene FTP. I’ve uploaded Barbie Girl, Oh Donna, Take On Me and Summer Of 69 by MxPx. Plus a whole bunch more punk covers. Me First And Then Gimme Gimme’s version of the Cheers theme is excellent!

Good stuff.

Weird. My guilty pleasure song is "Everything I do, I do it for you" by Bryan Adams.
Good Topic, btw.May 28, 2001 at 2:35 am #63896
RobertParticipantWell…since this seems like the day of confessions about that very annoying canadian guy, I’ll have to come clean and tell you that "Summer of 69" is a favorite of mine. It hurts to admit this, but atleast I mostly listen MXPX’s version. As for Adams himself:

AGAPParticipantHey
Love your solution to the Bryan Adams situation Robert…hilarious. Our Ambassador from Canada tried to apologize again for Bryan Adams in the South Park movie….not enuf your solution is much better!!!

malcomParticipantOkay, Guess I should reply to my own post.
Song, I admit it, I like some of Third Eye Blinds stuff.
Book, I admit to everything I’ve read I haven’t read anything I won’t admit to.
Movie-That thing you do, and Fried Green Tomatoes has a few funny bits as well
BTW, Anybody who likes weird covers should check out some Mr. Bungle Mp3’s, this band has covered the Super Mario Brothers Theme! Be warned however, there is an Mp3 of Britney Spear’s "hit me baby" out there under the Bungle name, this is actually a group called "the Plink Plank group" or some such.
and Alien Ant Farm Kicks ass!

jeremiahKeymasterI guess for movie I would have to say there is a tie between Xanadu and Grease
As far as songs I don’t know. I don’t listen to the radio much (you would have to live here to see why). I don’t feel guilty about it but I guess the whole Rust In Peace album by Megadeth would be the closest thing. Or possibly some Morbid Angel tracks…
Good topic
