Quote:Lili Cloud Benefit
Dear Friends and Family,Many of you have listened as we have spoken of our close friend Lili Cloud, and have kept her in your thoughts and prayers – Thank You!
For those of you that don’t know about Lili, here is what is going on. Lili was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in April of 2004. The doctors told her that she would not live 6 months and to get her affairs in order. This does not seem right because Lili is only 34 years old and a Mother of 2 young boys. Zion is 5 and Josiah is 2 and a half, both of whom are excellent children with tons of energy. Lili’s love for her boys and her dedication to getting better has kept her alive a year past what the doctors expected. Once Lili received her diagnosis, she immediately changed to a macrobiotic diet; beans, rice, certain vegetables, and whole grains with no sauces, spices, or sweeteners. She didn’t seem to mind because she knew it might help her live. She also went through chemo treatments this past year along side alternative therapies including accupuncture, energy work, and spiritual counseling.
Lili was doing well up until about 2 months ago. Her weight has dropped (50 pounds) and she is in severe pain. Her cancer has masticized and it’s spreading to other organs in her body. There is still hope! We have been researching alternative cancer treatment centers around the country and there are ways to help her regain her strength so that she can live to see her boys grow up.
Lili has insurance, but it won’t cover many of the medical treatments that she will need. We are needing to raise $20,000 for this process. Her husband Ron is working around the clock to pay the bills, care for the kids and her, and he is beginning to run out of steam. If this money became available to them it would change their lives forever. She needs to get to a treatment center immediately.
– If you have the means, even if its $5, $10, or $20, please send what you can. (donations up to $10,000 are tax deductible) Everything helps!

AnnastefkaParticipantWow, it’s a small world. I was looking through old topics this evening trying to find an old post that told how you can take a "photo" of the computer page your on. I saw this topic……….I had never noticed it before.
I do know that I had a friend named Lili…………who had a benefit show for her……..so I clicked on it and read. What a small world………….this was a benefit show for my friend Liliana (Lili) Cloud, my daughter was named after her…………..she died peacefully surrounded by her husband and two small sons last November.
Her Sons Josiah and Zion live here in Athens with their father Ron and Zion is in the same class as my Liliana this year. For anyone who wishes to see the beauty of Lili Cloud, you can go here: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=45053711″>http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu … d=45053711
Thats her with her sons sitting near the water soon before her death……………….scroll down on and you will find a photo of her and her husband Ron and her good friend Missy. Lili has the long dark hair.
I want the world to know, I love Liliana Cloud, and her children are in the loving arms of her "sisters" here in Athens Georgia and the children are thriving.

AnnastefkaParticipantWow Deeps, that is a touching story!
Was it Kateri Tekakwitha?, I read a book about her with my daughter several years ago.
It really is a small world, just as I was saying.
She wasn’t a natural blond, I’m sure of that.

crazycloudParticipanthey thanks for the photo’s!! it is always nice to see a face to a story.. i am happy to hear she was able to spend time with her loved ones so much longer then the doctor’s said.. the statistics say 1 out of three people are going ot have to battle life threating cancer at some point in their lives.. It is important that we help each other out through those times.. and deepis slush doesnt know what he’s talking about.. it doesnt matter which religous group you are, it is a matter of transcendence and help from a higher spirit..
