I went through a phase when I was into several Italian 70s prog bands; Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Premiata Forneria Marconi, Quella Vecchia Locanda, Latte e Miele, Tilt etc etc. Some of it really great stuff.

Yes are ok but I can`t stand Jon Anderson`s voice :P prog singers should sound like Peter Gabriel with Genesis or Dave Cousins with The Strawbs or the Gentle Giant guy or Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull. Those guys had the right kinda prog voice. For female singers Annie Haslam of Renaissance was awesome.

I feel obligated not to like Lou Reed because he hated Zappa. Or something like that.

Zappa hated the VU I think started it.Not sure if they ever became friends but at some award show Reed said something about Zappa being a fan of his music ???
