Hello !

I’m new to this board and think it is a nice gesture to introduce myself.
My real name is Stefan, I’m 24 years old and come from Germany. I started listening to Dinosaur when BUG came out have been a fan ever since. I recently discovered that usenet and messageboards are quite enjoyable and that it can be nice to participate in communities like the one on freakscene.net. I hope I won’t regrte registering myself but we’ll see.

Actually I’m quite sure that I wont regret it. Why ? Well I’m not sure of that, but it’s hard to imagine that the fans of such a wonderful band could be so mean or so annoying, that I would rather leave then to stay and try to have a good time.

Imust admit that I was not thinking about Orwell when I chose my name but about the wonderful Smashing Pumpkins song "Porcelina Of The Vast Oceans" (….as all the thought police are closing in for sleep…); but I enjoyed reading Orwell’s books in the past.

Thought Police-welcome to the boards,it`s a cool place to visit,you can be happy,sad,pissed off all in the same day.
The folks here are cool most times and what i`ve heard about other boards this is the best one there is,it definitely seems to be the best in my opinion.
We talk about other bands besides J so it`s not just a site with just Mascis content.
You mentioned the Pumpkins,you`ll be glad to know ELJ is our resident in Bollyology.

I like the term Bollyology, haven’t heard that before. I really love the Pumpkins, greatest live Band in the world…
Good to know, that you guys seem to be open minded, when it’s coming to other bands. Now I have to check out who ELJ is 😉
