Hey man, I can play the first part of Free Bird….the whole slide part…I just figured it out by ear, so it may not be exact, but hey…youll be really close. Ill have to tab it out and junk. The very first part of the intro is just using a slide at the bridge to get that bird sound…I usually make it sound like the bird is on his way to meet his maker but yeah. Ill tab it out for you and as for the solo, I never cared much to figure his out so…yeah, most of it the guitar sounds like its saying something about a monkey, that part is hammer on’s and pull off’s on 12 and 13 on g I think…havent heard it in a while. Ill go tab it out and try posting it to where you can understand it…kool? Bye……Randy Jane.

Sorry about the double post….I saw that it was nasty looking so I touched it up. That should help some, there is one part I just remembered that I didnt tab…..the part right before the vocals come in. Just take the slide and slide up towards the 20+ frets and you’ll be fine I think. Ok, take that and have fun.

As for playing Free Bird without a slide….Ive done it, but it didnt sound as good as this oe guy that did it….he was an amazing guitarist…he put in a few words about me being good to, but….I dont really think im that good. Anywho…yeah, Nights in White Satin for me….I love the Moody Blues. Bye!
