I would say it is!

What a jamming solo on that particular Drawerings tune… I love it.

Wait! Someone is keeping the rythem during that song’s solo. Maybe Kurt is rythem?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

Having seen them on the Martin and Me tour, I can unequivocally state that Mascis does the solo and Kurt keeps the rhythm…hope this clear this up.

‘member talking to him (K Fedora)after that and he said Murph was doing some other band, this was six years ago, does anyone recollect what this could be (it wasn’t Steve Westfield’s Slow band or the Lemonheads)

Thanks eggwater, that clears me up!

You’re a lucky Britt to see the Martin and Me tour! Wow…. Was it all acustic? What was the atmosphere like? The club?

It was really good to hear everything stripped down. it was in a little club that doesn’t exist anymore (RIP). Kurt Fedora also played a solo set…he is/was very technical, he played a Nick Drake tune too (possibly "things behind the sun"). I think Mascis’d benefit from the rhythm guitar when he plays live w/ the band.

I hear now that Mascis solo stuff includes effects pedals on his acoustic…is this true.

The release Martin and Me never captured that performance though for me.

mascis has always been into pedals so for him to bring them in on the acustic wouldn’t surprise me… however I don’t know for sure! Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

I’ve had the Martin and Me CD for years, it is a great performance in my mind. However it could have been picked up from the sound board and mics a lot better. There are some great tunes on that CD… I just image it a low key club people sitting around little round tables with the light dimed low for that cloudy look… then on stage J with an acustic, sitting on a bar stool with Kurt on another stool. JAMMING…. wow–so insperational. Thanks for enlightening me of the show eggwater. Love’d to be there.

Peace…from the states

Did any one play Bass?

Some of them. Check the ftp’s for San Francisco 2000 and there is an Australian gig from 2000 up there too.

jeremiah – pretty jelous about not seeing any of those acoustic shows
Nick, we may have to fly out to one of these when he does it again. Don’t get to many shows like that around here.

I think it would be interessting if fedora would join the fog on the next album and give mascis some more power. I mean drawerings and turnip farm are great!
