replying to some old threads…

I have an audio tape of a show from Nagatuck, CT in 1987 or 1988 where the show is stopped due to (from what I’ve heard) J and Lou attacking each other. I should really convert it to MP3…. they’re in the middle of a song from ‘Bug’ then all you hear is feedback and Lou saying something really sarcastic into the microphone.

You can see a brief (like 2 second clip) of this in a Sonic Youth video. I think it’s ‘Teenage Riot’, which is on one of those SY video comps.

Supposedly Lee Ranaldo was the one who videotaped the show, and my friend has been waiting to get a copy from him since 1992. *sigh*. Some things will never happen…

Also on this topic, Murph has said in interviews that the whole band would be driving in the van for hours upon hours without saying one single thing except when somebody needed to goto the bathroom.
